Join the International Museum of Women, Ahfad University, and the Women's Museum of Sudan for an exhibition celebration of Young Women Speaking the Economy!
Event details: Thursday, May 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Ahfad University for Women, Conference Hall, School of Management Building Alarda Street Umdurman, Sudan. Meet participants from Ahfad University for Women, see the work of participants from all four countries, and hear from special guest speaker Dr. Suad Ibrahim Issa, spokeswoman for the Southern Sudan Referendum Commission.
Launching on April 21, 2011, IMOW's newest online exhibition will explore young women's hopes, aspirations and ideas at a critical moment for the global economy. Groups of women aged of 18-25 from the Sudan, Philippines, Denmark, and the United States will share their creativity and perspectives on the economy, careers, well-being and professional life with each otherand with the museum's global online audience. Major funding for this innovative multi-country project is provided by a grant from the American Association of Museums' Museus & Communities Collaborations Abroad (MCCA) program and a MetLife Foundation Museum and Community Connections grant.
