About me:
Aya de León is an African American/Puerto Rican artist, activist, and teacher who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2001 she toured the United States with her one-woman hip-hop theater show, Thieves in the Temple: The Reclaiming of Hip Hop. She has recently accomplished the release of her first spoken-word album, Aya de León: Live at La Peña.
