About me:

Alex Whaley is an interdisciplinary artist, actor and teacher, who is in love with her home country of New Zealand. Alex is excited to be part of such a young and culturally diverse country, because it has the opportunity to define itself as a peaceful and creative nation. At twenty five she is looking forward to teaching young people to see their potential and power in this world.

I'm passionate about:

In terms of my art I am interested in combining the processes of painting,photography and film to create work that explores the points of connection for visual technologies. Outside of this I enjoy being with other creative friends to dream and plan art projects. I have a variety of interests, from working on a children's novel to designing my own fashion accessories,and I get inspired by being involved in a church filled with other creative people too. I like being with young adults, and I get to do that daily in teaching. I want to bring the world into the classroom, to make learning an invigorating and meaningful experience for my students, encouraging them to live with passion and hope.
