About me:
Born and raised in Southern France in 1981. Jessica moved to the Bay Area in 2001. After studying humanities at University Bordeaux II, she graduated from California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She designs and builds abstract & organic installations using repetitive motion, highlighting the visceral nature of materials and their connection to our bodies and the natural environment. She has worked for several museums (International Museum of Women, Natural World Museum, Zeum-Art and Technology) to help raise awareness around global issues of social injustice, ecological crisis and media literacy. Perception, translucent bodies and cats are among her obsessions http://web.mac.com/jessicaresmond
