Shalini Kantayya, filmmaker, educator, and activist uses film/video as a tool to educate, inspire, and empower audiences. She has produced and directed films in Senegal, Mali, Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, India, Pakistan, and the United States. She feels passionate about creating socially relevant media that is as provocative as the commercial industry. Shalini is currently working on a science fiction trilogy of feature films about eco-superheroes.
