About me:
Gustavo Spolidoro was born in Porto Alegre, on May 2nd, 1972. Since 1998, he has received 47 awards for his short films. 14 of those for the short film ”Others.” In 2005 his short film “The Beginning of the End” won the prize for Best Brazilian Short, and in 2006 it was selected for the Sundance Film Festival of 2006 and the Rotterdam Film Festival. He is a partner in the production company Clube Silencio, where he filmed the feature Still Orangutans, a one-single sequence shot, with support from the Low-Budget Prize of Culture Ministry. This film is Gustavo’s début in feature format and it is going to be released in 2007. The screenplay was written in partnership with Gibran Dipp.
