A tiny apartment and a difficult birth helped writer Jen Lemen find her way as a zinemaker, blogger and artist. Jen recently wrote and illustrated “Beginnings”—a full-color zine about finding your true North. She and her sister Patience Salgado are currently working on a book entitled “Soulful Parenting,” due out in late Summer 2007. When she’s not talking to strangers or looking for dark chocolate, you can find Jen dreaming up art, soul and stories for jenlemen.com from her dining room table in Silver Spring, Maryland. Jen is mother to two sage children, Madeleine, 8 and Carter, 5, and partner to the brilliant and kind Dave Lemen. Her advice on compassionate parenting appears regularly on Minti.com.
