About me:
Amy has spent the last few years living in Tokyo, London, Glasgow, and Galloway, writing and directing short films. She started her career working with underground filmmakers in Tokyo and shot her first film, ‘Unthink,’ in Japanese. With the success of her multi-award winning ‘Can’t Stop Breathing,’ she was able to secure funding for two more shorts – ‘Icicle Melt’ and ‘Ma Boy’ – which are currently being launched on the festival circuit. In 2005 she received the prestigious Katrin Cartlidge Foundation Award. Amy’s work has attracted some of the country’s top actors including Greta Scacchi, Jane Lapotaire, Lynsey Baxter and Shirley Henderson. She is currently working on her first feature film.
