About me:
Laura Pacheco is a producer and director. She directed and co-produced The Motherhood Manifesto and is currently co-producing the two hour PBS special Renewal, which looks at the emerging faith-based environmental movement in North America. She has produced and directed for the PBS Science series NOVA for the past four years, working most recently on the Global Health Series Rx For Survival and World In The Balance. She has worked extensively with National Geographic TV, The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel and PBS. Working in over 30 countries, she is committed to telling stories that give voice to the people and movements that often go unnoticed. In addition to freelance producing for television, Laura works closely with women and community groups in the US, Mexico, Guatemala and India, teaching filmmaking as a tool for social justice organizing.
