About me:

Corina is 20 years old and lives in Oakland, California. She is a poet, a singer and a song-writer. She has 18 brothers and sisters. She has moved many times in her life, and has family all over the world. Her traveling has shaped her world view, and she has learned that all people deserve respect and love. She is not a professionally trained singer but, instead, was raised in a household of people who loved to sing—every morning she woke up to the sound of her mother singing. She has been singing her whole life. Corina works with a non-profit organization called YouthMovementRecords (YMR), which is based out of Oakland, California. She has been working with them as a performing and recording artist since she was 17. She has recently begun to develop a curriculum for creative writing/performance workshops for youth between the ages of 13 and 19, driven by her passion for working with young people. As a strong advocate of youth around the world, she believes that we are all responsible for taking care of all young people, and caring for them as if they were our own children.
