About me:
Nana K. Twumasi is a recent graduate of the MFA in writing program at the California College of the Arts. She writes about identity, about what makes her who she is and how she functions in what she calls the “in-between”: The space between black and other, between woman and other, between intellectual and hardcore fan of The O.C She also writes on medical topics, specifically sickle cell anemia. She enjoys using binomial nomenclature in her work whenever she can because she finds it poetic. She doesn’t come from one place or the other – since birth she’s been touring the United States and one day hopes to travel to Ghana, her parents’ native country.
