Danielle Scruggs, a native of Chicago, Illinois, graduated from Howard University with a degree in print journalism in 2006. Danielle’s work mostly concentrates on documenting urban environments, in particular the idiosyncratic places, people and things that make her surroundings like no other place. She is a contributing writer to the Minneapolis-based arts and culture newsmagazine, The Liberator. She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2008 with a Master's degree in Digital Art. In addition to photography, Danielle’s interests lie in writing, film, jazz, cooking and reading almost any book she can get her hands on.
