About me:
Giselle Fiallo was born in Santo Domingo. In 1999 she received a degree in publicity communications and has since worked in Santo Domingo as a creative writer for several local and international advertising agencies. In 2000 she traveled to Spain to specialize in communications and political management at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. That same year she received an associate degree in professional photography from the Spanish School of Photographers in Madrid, Spain. During the summer of 2002 she began cinematographic photography studies at the International School of Cinema and Television in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. In 2002 she had her first individual photography exhibit at the Abacus Conceptual Lounge in the city of Santo Domingo. In 2004 her installation "Potasa" won the first prize at the 2004 Barceló Art Fair, New Proposals. Her most recent video piece, “De Trip a Corazon,” completed with Sahira Fontana, was put on exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art as part of the group photography show “Con-secuencias” (June-August, 2004) together with 20 other photographers from the Circle of Photography. She has been living in Spain since 2005 and works for a prestigious film marketing agency. Her photographs have been published in Mercado magazine, “La Vaina” and on the Internet: www.cielonaranja.com and www.zonezero.com.
