About me:
Alejandra Phelts was born to a Mexican mother and German/Colombian father. In 1998 she started her studies in philosophy and art history at the Institut Privé de Philosophie et Théologie Saint Jean,in Saint Jodard, France. She also attended the Artistic Education School of the Baja California School of Fine Arts and completed two years of her degree in plastic arts. She joined Ramon Castillo’s art workshop at the Culture House, where she held her first exhibits. In 2002 she moved to the city of Tijuana, in Baja California, and joined Master Alvaro Blancarte’s workshop. She also participated in several exhibits and received recognitions, among which worth mentioning are those from the fourteenth and fifteenth “Bienal Plástica de Baja California,” “Bienal Nacional de Pintura Miradas 2004,” “8va Bienal Universitaria 2005,” and the 2005 Center’s International Contemporary Artist Series for an individual exhibit at the University of California San Diego in the United States. She is currently in her fourth year at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California.
