Nefin Dinç studied economics in Turkey before moving to the UK where she received a master’s degree in media and culture. After working for the Turkish film industry for 10 years, she moved to the United States to study documentary filmmaking. Upon graduation she started teaching documentary filmmaking at SUNY Fredonia. She has directed three documentaries: "The Republic Train," "Rebetiko: The Song of Two Cities" and “I Named Her Angel.” Nefin Dinç is now working on a documentary that examines at the relationship between Turkey and Greece.
