I'm passionate about:
My recent web art project, "How I Loved the Broken Things of Rome" explored the condition of being displaced, overwhelmed by fragments, and tried to depict the fragmentary nature of the language experienced as a stranger. It was created between 2002 - 2005 thanks to the support of Barbara Catalini (Rome), SVR and the OBORO New Media Lab’s residency programme (Montreal), and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Quebec. It was launched at OBORO in April 2005 and has since appeared in The New Geographies Project (Mexico - 2005) and at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art in association with the 19th Anual imagesFestival (Toronto – 2006). Another recent project, "The Cape" blurs the fine line between fiction and memory. Why do we believe in our childhood memories when we don't listen to half of what children say when they're children. "The Cape" will appear in The Electronic Literature Organization Collection (UCLA) in Fall 2006. My most recent project takes place in my back alley way. My neighbours are so noisy I made this whole art work about them. ENTRE VILLE was commissioned by The OBORO New Media Lab and will launch in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Conseil des arts de Montreal, Spring 2006.
