When a Woman Campaigns, Women Win
The Uttarakhand Mahila Parishad [UMP] (Uttarakhand Women’s Federation) is an informal network of 15,000 women across 450 villages in the rural and remote central Himalayan areas of Uttarakhand, India which has been operating for nearly two decades. Whole village women’s unions are organized on the village level with all adult women of the village participating in them.
