I wrote this book just after graduating from a university in Wales. I had studied theology and my head was full of creation myths and tales.

In particular, one line in the Old Testament intrigued me: "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful: and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose." (Genesis 6:2-4)
