Human Rights Are Absolute
My composite of photographic images originates at the Gay Parade in San Francisco and at the Aids Quilt display in Washington D.C. The scriptures speak of love, as well as hate, bias and prejudice. The debate and dialogue includes preachers reading Leviticus which state that a homosexual lifestyle is an "abomination."
There are also those whose parents and friends accept homosexuals as they are, and who like heterosexuals, seek only love and acceptance. I include myself in the image acknowledging my disgust with the preachers and those who righteously condemn these people because of their sexual preferences. Harvey Milk, a famous gay man, is included. He was killed in San Francisco because he was a homosexual public figure. The man who killed him got off on a "Twinkie" defense.
