This series was the jumping off point for my investigation of local plants disregarded as weeds. This series depicts four plants: Goldenrod, Milkweed, Mullein and Queen Anne's Lace, all common plants with potent medicinal qualities. The pieces are printed with an 8 foot long woodcut on 16 foot long pieces of linen, with embroidery, gold leaf, beeswax and plant dye.
