For nearly 100 years, International Women's Day on March 8 has been the global day of celebration connecting all women around the world and inspiring them to achieve their full potential. In the United States, the month of March is celebrated as Women’s History Month in order to publicly recognize the contributions of American women in history. The mission of the International Museum of Women (I.M.O.W.) is to value the lives of women around the world. I.M.O.W. connects and inspires people with powerful ideas and new ways of thinking that transform women’s lives and the world. I.M.O.W. amplifies the voices of women from all walks of life through history, the arts and cultural programs that educate, create dialogue, build community and inspire action. |
