It is truly inspiring to see an example of politics bringing people together instead of pulling them apart. It is interesting to me that the political parties that cross borders are usually socialist in political bent - for example Radical, Communist or Green Parties. Others seem so nationally focused and therefore exclusive. Would politics be different if we had more political parties that crossed borders, or would this just stifle difference? Maybe there would be less conflict among states if political parties did more to break down political borders.
